My friend who filed for AOS with his family under section I-245, LIFE ACT, and they've interviewed yesterday. Adjudication officer didn't grant their AOS because she couldn't find their I-134.

My question is: do they need I-134? (according to my friend, officer was brand new and didn't know what she was doing, and get help from her superwiser several times).
