I attended the interview with my wife. We arrived at 7:05 AM and stood in the snow until 7:30. We were the first there but ended up second in line as we let an elderly handicapped woman in front of us.

8:15 AM she was called for fingerprinting.

9:00 AM she was called for the interview.

We were out of the building by 9:15. The fingerprinting took longer than the interview in which the nice black woman with dreadlocks merely chatted with us. It seemed more like a casual conversation than an interview, but she already had the 'Welcome' letter ready about halfway through and seemed genuinely interested in our situation.

Our next debate is whether to wait until February 20th (our two year anniversary) for her to enter or to have her come prior. Any thoughts?

Sincerely,

Scott & Christine "Kiki" Cushman

Wow that is a hard decision..If she comes now then you have to do alot of paperwork and proof again and pay...I forgot 700? Someone correct me for the fee.

I think I would have to tell my husband we have waited this long just wait another 6 weeks cause I am NOT doing all this paperwork, proof and interview again this soon!

But I miss him soooooo much. lol

Good Luck whatever you decide.

Congratulations and how nice of you to let the other woman ahead. Why would you wait??? Go for it!

i would wait it's a little over a month you don't have to submit proof you don't have to pay the money you get your 10 year gc instead of the 2 year. there's no kids involved right? i couldn't wait i know my husband wants to see our son really bad so i wouldn't wait plus if i waited to long he might deployed to the ship again and be gone for 3 months :P

Congrats on the interview success! I would say wait as well; it'll be cheaper in the long run for you to get that 10-year green card. :)

Holding my nose and jumping off the cliff.. hope I don't hit any rocks in the water.
