Hello all. Have any of you experienced this or know what happens if you are transferred during the K1 process? I have not yet filed the I129F but will be sometime in the next 4-5 months but there is a very high probability that I will be transferred through my job to a country different from the country of my fiancee sometime in the next 6 -12 months. Does the process stop, go into hold? On a similar question what if I get married but we live together in a different country of my fiancee, when I get transferred back to the US what is the process to obtain a VISA since I will not be living in the country of her nationality but we will be married?

For a K-1 visa..

nothing matters until interview day.

then - you'll have to prove up US Domicile or intent to re-establish US Domicile

and

show income . and that's it. No one cares where you are, outside of the USA - what matters is US Domicile and income.

I assume you are the petitioner, not the beneficiary.

getting married query

if you have 6 months or more presence in that country, and she's with you - you can file a DCF'd I-130 IF the US Embassy/Consulate IV unit handles that intake - otherwise prep for filing the I-130 immediately after marriage to the Chicago Lockbox.

Good Luck !
