Certified Vs Attested copies in Delhi India? Certified over Rs.$2000 per copy?

The beneficiary has informed me that "they"/"lawyers who do these things" have given these information:

1) Certified Copies of DOB, PCC etc..are considered more legit than Attested copies.

2) If PCC (Police Clearance Certificate) were brought from another state, it is advised to get those Certified by them in Delhi so that the embassy will believe that those documents are legit because of the Certified Stamp, signature and sticker on it.

3) "They" quoted her over Rs.2000 per Certified copy!

Can someone please verify these information (#1, #2, #3).

Due to this ridiculous COST, the beneficiary just got the Attested copies of DOB and other documents instead of "Certified"

 I feel like these people are trying their best to get more money out of the beneficiary.

What has your experience been like? Please share your thoughts & expeirience, advice etc..

Thanks guys

Here is the sample "Certified" copy they showed the beneficiary.

I'd think all you need to do is ask the issuing authority to give you a certified copy of the BC. As for PCC, when you apply for it, you can request for more copies. Thankfully, in my case I have four certified copies of my BC sent by the Corporation, not that I asked for it rofl.gif. I haven't gotten to PCC yet, but I'm planning to ask for a minimum of two copies of it.

1 is correct

However. There's a useful search engine here, an advanced search feature. Have you tried it?

terms: 'Mumbai certified' and 'Mumbai attested' and 'Mumbai original'

You think all is messy now, when you're dealing with NVC?

Wait till the beneficiary actually reads the instructions from VFS, gets 1000 % more confused.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
