I looked on the VisaJourney guides and flowchart for a list of documents needed for the Interview and cannot find anything. Can someone help me with what my Fiance will have to bring to the embassy with her ?

What I have now is a full I-129F package, a full Packet 3 package with additional more recent photos added.

I have read we need to include proof of domicile of where we will live (a signed lease for apartment in my case) and a proof of domicile for her (which I'm unsure of ? ). I read where a few have provided affidavits, but not sure from who saying what ? A medical report (which I already did a few months ago at Bumrungrad as a trial run. Will do another one close to Interview).

What else ????????????????

The affidavit should say who the affiant is, who the applicant is, known to the affiant and how, spent time together, been to dinner their home etc. see some of the Thailand postings and threads. I found this in my spare time; http://www.allbestarticles.com/legal-informations/immigration/the-usa-embassy-immigrant-visa-interview-for-k1-visa.html. Don't stress to much.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

I dont recall anyone that had to provide proof of where they will live or proof of her residence either.

As far as I know affidavits are not required. I wouldnt bother with this unless there is a problem in the timing of the relationship or something like that. Anyone could provide an statement but the true value of it would be in question. I dont think it hurts but I also dont think they help.

The medical report is good for a long time so you may not need to do this again at all.

For her interview she will only need her passport if all the docs have been mailed in. I assume the visa payment reciept will be sent in rather than hand carried.

I read through 10+ pages Thailand reviews section where people write about their interviews. Some in there were asked for proof of domicile. Some where they would live in the US and some for the Thai national. As for the affidavit there was a few that mention it, but unclear if the embassy ever asked for it.

All the documents were mailed in. However I've read many references to having to bring in recent photos (between the time you sent the I-129F and the interview), recent letter of intent to marry, medicals, etc.

proof of domicile is usually asked for when it's determined that the PETITIONER is a returning expat.

Are you a returning expat, or no?

re: Medical for you - uhm - why? It's the foreign fiance that needs the medical exam, not the USCitizen Petitioner.

Seems like way too much practice, for the medical exam, imo.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I guess I would be a returning expat. Been living in Thailand for 3+ years, but w/o a long term Visa.

Medical is not for me. I'm glad I did the medical early. It was determined she needed some immunizations and one of them has 3 shots involved that have to be given over 7 months !

Just curious how you live there for 3 years without a visa? I lived there for 2 years on 30 day visas until the coup. Then they said you can get 3 30 days in a row and you're out for 6 months.

Once we got married I got a 1 year non-O visa.

My understanding is she doesn't need any vaccines before arriving in the U.S. it is just a recommendation because she will have to have them before her Adjustment Of Status (AOS) to permanent resident....and later citizen.

If you've been gone a while it may be hard to return. Every time I come back I notice more and more how truly nice the Thai people are oppose to how I get treated here....anywhere.

Here is a link to the info you need:

http://bangkok.usembassy.gov/root/pdfs/k_appointment_package_may09.pdf

If the link doesn't work I found it on the website for the U.S. Embassy Bangkok....visas, immigrant visas, instruction and appointment packages, then click on Appointment package for "k" visa applicants (k package 4). I should add this document states the 'immigrant visa fee' that you pay at the post office is $131 USD. That has now changed to $350 USD ( I've been told, we haven't paid yet). I think you are past that point but it could be helpful to someone else.

Good luck!

Can I ask how much the medical cost you? My fiancé needs to do is soon. Thanks
