Can anyone help me about my problem regarding the status of my fiance and i. He is a US immigrant for 5 yrs dis January 2012 while i am a Filipino citizen. We are in a relationship for 9 yrs and suffering from long distance relationship since he left last 2007. What is the best and fastest possible ways wherein he can file a petition for me to get there for us to be together again? Pls i badly needed your help..Thank you and Godbless..

Are you married? You say fiance but posted this in the spousal visa forum

Is he a US citizen? If you are not married, and he is not a US citizen, then he cannot file a visa for you (fiance- K1 visas- are only for US citizen to petition).

If he is a greencard holder or US citizen and you are married, he can petition you for a spousal visa.

None of these ways are fast- about 6-8 months for a K1 fiance visa (you must have met in person within the last two years), 8-10 months for a spousal visa if he is a US citizen, and 3 years if he is a greencard holder.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
