Hi VJ's,

Called some civil surgeon here in Cali and their quote starts from 200 - 600 :( Do I need to do physical exam too btw? any tips? In my DS-2053 I have 1 immunization to still get and was told at st. lukes that I have to have when i get here. IS the 200 - 600 Quote really just the right amount to pay a civil surgeon?

- Oh something not related to AOS but will ask from here - do we really HAVE to report our marriage at the Philippine Embassy here?

For a full medical yes thats about right for the range of price.

You need to keep calling different places and get someone who will do only the vaccination and fill out the vaccination part. You do not need a full medical just the shot and vaccination transcription.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Is that the quote just for the immunisation and transcription of immunisation records onto an I-693? or is that for a full medical? A lot of civil surgeons try to make you get the FULL medical exam again even though you only need the immunisation part. I would just keep calling around until you find someone better.

Finally time for AOS.......

12/07/11 Sent AOS package

12/09/11 AOS package delivered

12/14/11 Received NOA for I-485 and I-765 (we're not applying for AP)

12/22/11 Received letter for Biometrics

01/04/12 Biometrics in Phoenix

01/31/12 Received email update from USCIS saying that we've been scheduled for an interview

02/03/12 Got an email saying card production had been ordered for my EAD...now just to wait for the card...

02/09/12 Received email saying EAD card has been sent

02/13/12 Received EAD card :D :D :D :D

03/06/12 Interview in Phoenix :).....Approved :D

03/14/12 Received Green card in mail.....

Keep calling around, like people are saying you just need the vaccination records xfer to the medical app. You might need a few more shots to be up to date but if you put her or him on your private insurance most insurance companies will cover vaccinations. I ended up traveling 140 miles and paid 26 dollars to have it done. The several I called wanted to due full blown physicals ranging from 600 bucks to 1100 dollars. My opinion is a lot of us the petioner's don't really know whats needed and these so called doctors know it and will rip you off. I was tempted to pay it, but some good advice from a fellow VJ member and understanding of the instructions for this document stopped me. Good Luck!

The majority of civil surgeons are scammers - they have no rules or regulation - they can charge what they want and " force " people to do the full medical because its what they say has to be done.

Just keep calling around though and don't fall for it - I had to call tons of people before I found someone who would do the vaccination part only.

 Yup...find one who knows the drill.

We paid about $35 to get our DS-3025 transcribed onto our I-693.

Chinook didn't need any more shots.

PS...You don't have to report your marriage unless you want to amend your passport, or renew your passport, or file for dual citizenship, or a few other things.
