notarized forms, ITR concerns

Hi everyone!

I just have some quick questions in preparation for my K1 interview:

1. Do we need to have his ITR (form 1040) notarized?

2. Are the past 3 years of ITR enough or do we really need tax transcripts?

3. The annual income in his 2010 ITR is from selling shares of the company he previously owned, so he doesn't have pay stubs for that since he was self-employed. What document can he show to support his income for that year?

No it doesn't have to be notarized. People typically use the transcripts because you don't have to send all the W-2 and supporting documents for the 1040. It's been a while since I have checked, but I believe you are only required to provide the last tax return...the other 2 are optional and only if the income is questionably close to the poverty line.
