Hello, i have a question. I have this scenario, my wife is in the Philippines and i filled her a petition to get her in US and got approved, then suddenly she got a job in other country, and her petition papers came while she in the other country, what would be the case of that? And what should we need to do if that happens?

Any info would be very helpful.

Thank you so much,

Norman

Why would she apply and take job in another country if your plans was for her to come to the USA?

Interesting thread...

Honestly (and this is just an opinion), the OP either meets the financial support requirements or he does not. The fact that one's wife WANTS to work or explore a position of employment for labor of love or interest has no bearing on this.

There is simply not enough information to derive that there is matter for concern here.

The fact that she is in another country working can make things complicated from the perspective of getting her documents together. However, a call to the consulate to discuss what options are available may be the best option.

This way you know what is possible from a logistics perspective. In the end you are talking about delaying the process which would tweak me out a bit.

With matters like these, my approach has been to measure twice and cut once. Understand EXACTLY what latitude you have, what the rules are, and make adjustments accordingly. I am confident that you can get the right info both from the consulate and some good direction from some well informed members of the board. But always back it up with solid substantial information from the embassy.

Good luck!

I wanted to add that not all people work out of financial necessity

its her life. if shed like to work in HK, then she should make that choice.

then she is earning her own money an can be less reliant on her petitioner. i realize there are cultural norms that might factor in, but unless she signed up to be a kept woman, she might wanna take that job.

Perfect, this i what i was talking about, my wife just want to work outside the country for our future, so we can both save money before she gets here.

One thing i really wanna know here is if this plan will help us or not and will this plan will prolong the immigration process. I need an advice.

I appreciate all replies, thank you so much guys!
