Hi I am seeking information about a child being born out of the USA. My wife is in the Philippines and I am waiting for her visa and we are having a child in march. I was wondering even though she is not a US citizen and I am does that make the child a US citizen since I am. If not, coud you tell me what to expect in this situation? Thanks very much.

You will have to do the Consular Report of Birth Abroad as the child has claim to US citizenship.
