Hey guys,

My K3 application was forwarded on mid of august and I haven't receive package 3 yet. By that time NVC has generated DS-230 for IR 1 visa for my husband. Is it possible that they disregard my K3 visa application. Is there anything wrong with embassy? Please guide me here.

thank you

Not exactly sure what you are asking but I will take a shot.

It can take consulates varying time lengths to issue packets. As for the IR 1 (married more then 2 years), if the case completes and is forwarded to the consulate prior to the K-3 interview either being scheduled or held, the K-3 will be become void as the immigrant visa (CR/IR-1) takes precedence. I assume this is what you prefer anyway as the IR-1 is a 10 year greencard and you are so close with it. Have you looked into what the wait time is for CR/IR interviews? Some consulates have been known to just swap one interview for the other, others have cancelled the K-3 interview and scheduled seperate interview date for the CR/IR. You can also slow up the K-3 on purpose via the packets to give the CR/IR time to catch up.
