On a K1 visa is it possible to travel back to the United States, marry within 90 days and then leave the country again to go back to my (will be) husbands country of birth for another year. And then after that, return to the United States as a married couple.

I ask this because I am a Peace Corps Volunteer serving in Paraguay, and want my fiance to visit the states with me, have a wedding ceremony there, and then we will be going back to Paraguay (my country of service) until I finish with service May 2013.

Thanks in advance for any responses!

K-1 visa is a one time use only.

You cannot use it to enter the USA as married nor can you use it to enter a second time.

If you plan to use a K-1 to enter marry and leave again then you will have to file for a Spousal visa if you wish to return together and live in the USA.

You can leave immediately after wedding but you will not be able to come back (without going through CR-1 visa route). After you get married you need go through adjustment of status (~ 6 months) during which you can apply for advanced parole (which will allow you to return without completed AoS) but you may need to attend AoS interview which requires being physically present. Also, long out of US periods can result in revoked green card.

Going through K-1 now if you plan to leave immediately is waste of time & money.
