I'm sorry your husband has been in AP so long and you are due next month. There is not a whole lot you can do to get him out of AP. You can always contact your Senator or Congressman and ask for their help. You can also fax the ambassador of the embassy and ask for his assistance.

Thank you, I think I'm going to contact my senator and explain the situation...hopefully I'll get something positive out of it.

Im sorry for the AP but you can contact your senator as CArolyn suggested. They can't get you out of AP but they can get better answers for you. There are loads of us in the same situation and the best thing for you right now is not to stress too much and have a healthy pregnancy and baby. They do care about your situation but they care more about the safety and security of USA and that's what they are working on.

I'm in a similar situation except my daughter has a brain tumor but all we could do is send the medical records and let the senator inquire about our case. We know they are working on it but it just takes time. If you look at the volume and not just here on VJ but the volume of applicants at the embassy you will see it takes time to check each person wishing to come here and its a long process. Sometimes longer for some as the checks they do can be different.

It sounds like they are just checking his background and once that is complete then the visa can be issued. Stay strong and dont stress too much... your baby is counting on you and your husband and will be here whether or not your husband gets the visa so focus on that. Wish you the best and our prayers are with you.

Well, reading this thread..and doing some research online, I knew trying to get out of AP or expediting the process is pretty much impossible, but a girl can hope..right? As far as the process being long , I kind of expected it...but I thought me being an American citizen ( which, apparently doesn't do ####### to help )and my husband showing proof to the CO that he plans to come back a couple of months after(to take care of his law firm, and that his holidays from high court would be over) would help? Naive as it sounds.

I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter, I can't imagine the amount of patience you possess in order to be able to get by each day without your husband. It's really difficult, and May god bless you and your family! My prayers and best wishes are with you as well.

Too bad we just had to fall in love with men who come from one of, if not the most hated countries in the world.

Welcome to our tracker and the AP club... sorry about the AP... as you may already know Islamabad works a little bit differently than other countries. Just be patient check your emails and be sure to answer your phone as they may call and request documents. If they don't then just know they are simply running checks on you and depending on how many checks it could be in a couple of months or longer. Just be prepared to wait this process out and know there isn't much information that you can get except your pending AP.

Good luck to you

It's actually sister ;) and yeah it took him a while but you must remember the embassy is inconsistent and even if two cases are exact there may be different outcomes or time lines... you may wait as long or it may be issued much sooner... just have faith!

I have some good news and some bad news. Good news is that the embassy is currently working on our case. So our file is not being used as a coaster. I spoke to my Mammoo in Pakistan today and he said that he was visited by two men from the embassy. They asked him some questions about my wife and I and then left. So it looks like the embassy is doing some field investigation regarding our case. Has anyone else gone through the same process yet? And if so what happened? Or does this mean that they are about to wrap our case up? Oh the bad news is that we are still in AP.

Means that someone is actually working on your application.Did your uncle tell you what they asked him? I am almost certain they would have asked about your relationship and questioned him about the pictures and time of place of images .

Yes he did. He told me they asked him his relationship to me? Where do I live? I'm I married or not? When was I in the country? Where did the ruksati happen? Oh and they made up something about their sister doing a research project and they wanted to conduct a survey.
