Good Morning,

today I will be sending out my I-130 petition for my wife. I'm stuck on one question on the G-325a Form. The portion where the form asks you, your employement the past five years. My wife is self-employed (she sells, jewerly, cosmetics and clothing). from my understanding I would reference self-employed under the occupation (specify) box. What I'm confuse is the Full Name and Address of Employer. Should I just put my wifes name and home address? please help!

You should write self-employed and nature of employment. Yes, her home address will be fine.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

I am not 100% sure however I would have thought that you would answer the question in the following manner:

The Employer would be the company name (if there is one) otherwise your wife's name.. and the address

of the company would be the registered company address, the one listed for company registration / tax purposes, otherwise I guess it would be your wife's address.

As I say I am not 100% sure, its just my opinion :D

Good luck with your journey.

Under Employer I would put: Self employed, Sales (which is the field) with the location (example: home, or the town) and in the next box (Occupation) I would put: Retail, and if there is enough room, i would add in brakets: jewelery (jewels is more short) and clothes.
