I129 $340 dlls

Visa $350 dlls

medical $180 dlls

flight/hotel, etc. 1000 dlls

total: about 2 grand.

that's the approx I spent and it was only for myself. Have to mention that I stayed in Juarez waiting for the visa and paid like 10 days of hotel, if you guys don't plan to stay that would be a hell lot less, the hotels are fairly cheap but obviously every day adds up.

Have no idea about medical/visa cost for children but I guess is not as expensive as the adults.

It's not a part of the visa, but if you go the K1 route you will also have to pay $1070 for AOS within 3 months of moving to America. Don't let it sneak up on you.

very true!

I have calculated mine and it is at least 2 grands..

There are a lot of hidden costs, today I paid 200$ alone for translation of documents and have them legalized..

For Mexico you don't need translations, you will need the birth certificate translated for AOS but someone that know both languages can easily do it, no need to legalized, notarized or anything.
