Hi all,

I went to India after decade and my visa status is H1B. I also have Advance Parole(which i forgot i have but its valid). I went for stamping to Delhi they gave me 221 g (green slip) even though i submitted all the required document. Its been now more than 2 and half months and i am still waiting for my passport to be stamped. Question i have i can go back using advance parole but my passport is with them. Please suggest what can be done to get my passport back and go back to USA using advance Parole. Or there are any other options.

I don't understand- if you have a valid H1B, why did you go to the US embassy in India at all? What did you get the 221g for?

Why do you have AP, are you in the process of adjusting your status, and if so how (marriage, employer sponsored greencard)?

My Intention was to get married but didn't workout and visa on my passport was expired as i went after decade. I have my H1B Valid till 2013 recently got renewed and got my advance parole and than went to india. They gave me 221 g saying they need time to verify my documents. Now if i get my passport i can go back i guess as i have advance parole?. but passport is with them..

This still doesn't make sense.. if you have a valid H1-B, you don't need any other travel document to leave or re-enter the US. Your H1-B visa is all you need to come back. What stamp exactly are you talking about?
