What kind of visa is she applying for? It may be that different rules apply to different kind of visas. It is a little hard to believe that no more interviews for

fiance and spousal visa applications. I suppose we will find out soon enough when K-1 & CR-1 beneficiaries start posting here on VJ about the new rules.

This is the case for immigrant visa (CR1/IR1 etc.) although I doubt that there is no interview.

K visas are considered non-immigrant visa so the process is different.

Might be good news. We have our interview coming probably in February and I kinda hope they don't start trying new things until after that. Change would probably mean extra time to adjust and work out the kinks.

Yeah, my interview's on the first week of January. I hope they don't start trying new things at the start of the year. Or if they do, I hope it's to make the process easier. No interview sounds good, making the appearance at the embassy just a formality. But I believe that's highly unlikely.

Philippines is a high fraud country, it's close to impossible that there will be no interview. No posting yet from US Embassy website to confirm it so that's just a rumor.

Not exactly true. While the K visa is a non-immigrant visa, it is processed in the immigrant visa section of the USEM. Don't go to the non-immigrant section of the website if you are a K-1 applicant.

Guys,

That's what my reaction too I'm like what r u serious?then I check the website I don't see any "new news"I will get back to her coz she hire a visa service and that's what she told me....I was in shock when I heard these.she said instead of setting an appointment online the embassy will call her instead to bring documents that need to submit,we will see what's next on the news if its true it should be on embassy website.

I am just referring with how you schedule your interview appointment (which is what mentioned in the post)... NVC schedules appointment for immigrant visa vs. K-1 and other non-immigrant visa, the applicant should be the one to schedule via online or phone.
