Why not dot all I's and cross all T's for something THAT important for your life? Just get it done and avoid the RFE's! No abuse here just part of dealing with the FED. Good luck!

All you can do is check, double check and then triple check your paperwork before sending it off. But, even then, you could still receive an RFE for something. Not much you can do about it. Just return the requested information to USCIS and usually, approval is not far behind.

Apr. 6/05... DS-230, Part I faxed to Vancouver Consulate

May 26/05... K-2 Interview - APPROVED!!!!

Sept. 5/05... Entered U.S.

Sept. 7/05... I-485 & I-131 sent to CLB

Feb. 22/06... AOS Interview - APPROVED!!!!! (Passport NOT stamped)

Dec. 4/07... I-751 sent to NSC

May 23/08... 10-Yr. PR Card arrives in the mail

Mar. 22/11.... N-400 sent to AZ

June 27/11..... Interview - PASSED!!!

July 12/11..... Oath Ceremony

It depends a lot on what and where the typo occurs and what information is altered by the typo.

If you misspell the name of one of your fiance's former employers, chances are, it won't cause a problem.

If you give the wrong SSN, then there are going to be some problems.
