Okay, here's the AOS thread for the K1 March filers group! Let's get everyone here on the same page! I just landed in the US 2 days ago and finished unloading the truck today! Time to get my SSN, and get that wedding happening! I'm still 12 days out from that, but sure to follow along in this thread when I get things sorted! Posting link to K1 group now!

I think you might find that an AOS thread for people who filed for K-1s last March and are filing for AOS now rather limited in scope. Not everyone who filed for a K-1 in March is in the US yet nor have filed for an AOS. Some of them may not be filing for AOS for weeks or even months yet. I know you build up friendships in the monthly filing threads, but the clock sort of 're-sets' when you file for a new application, and the time period that went before becomes historic rather than currently relevant.

It is usual for people who file for the same application at the same time to start a thread together so they can compare notes and experiences. You may find that more useful at this stage of the game. There is already a November AOS thread here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/337144-november-2011-aos-filers/ but if you wish, you could start the December AOS thread, and that way you would be posting with people who are filing for AOS the same time you are rather than just those who filed for K-1s last March. You may well have some March K-1ers in the mix but you will find the AOS is really a whole new step in the 'journey' and you will have some different travellers along this portion

I'm pretty sure that we'll join in those groups too Kathryn, but those of us that met during the March filing, want to stick together through the rest of the process. I'm sure that we'll meet lots of others along the way, as we already have through our facebook group too, but there's a group of about 50 of us now that feel weird continuing to post in the K1 section now that most of us are already into the AOS process or just beginning it.

I just received noa that aos papers were received, by email, last night. We mailed them on tuesday.

Greetings all March 2011 Filers Friends & Family!!! Inday succesfully entered U.S. on Thanksgiving Day! Hurrayyyy!!!!! Plans are being made for wedding to take place at the beginning of February. Many things to do.

Okay, I'm bored. I've been playing facebook games to pass the time and running with the dogs. I can't wait to get my marriage licence so that I can apply for my unemployment after the AOS. These forums are so boring! Where's the guide that tells me exactly what to do step by step that isn't 600 pages long? Stuart needs to take me to get my SSN card still, we didn't get a chance to before the wedding, so now do I need to wait to get a certified copy of the marriage to apply? I really don't want to wait any longer, the price on everything keeps going up! Now we're looking at just doing my AOS and waiting for Connor's, but his costs more when not done at the same time, and to be honest, it will be some time before we can do both, and that might even mean another medical for him... gah! How long do we have to adjust status on a K2, anyone know?
