British goods, Arlington/DC area

I did a few searches but to no avail, so new topic....

I've moved from Tampa to Crystal City for a bit, and I am off this weekend to see Cigars and British Goodies in Arlington. Does anyone know if they also serve bacon? They do not have a website. Failing that, anyone else able to offer any recommendations?

Gagging for some Cadbury wholenut too, actually excited, and it's not even Christmas ;-)

I've driven by that place hundreds of times yet neither my husband nor I have made it inside. Its a small hole in the wall place. I doubt they have a refridgerated section, but let me know what you think. Ryan and I may be swayed to stop in next time we visit family.

I could also do with some wheaten and soda bread and some tayto crisps, but that can wait till the brother flies over in a couple of month for a visit.

My hubs has gone in there a couple of times. They do have rashers and sausages like you'd get in Ireland and the UK, but they're frozen so you'll have to thaw them out. I think he might have gotten Taytos there, but I'm not sure. I'm sure you'll find a few good things!

I would love to find a store near here that stocked UK items but all my searches have failed, although in the Upper Peninsula they sell pasties, i dunno how close they are to the original, but thats the closest i found in Mi, after i start work might be an idea to head to a larger city to find stuff, i know of a whole foods in Chicago that stocks some british things

So we went along today. Well stocked and prices as you'd expect. They had Tayto cheese and onion! The freezer compartment was a little bare, restocking time soon. All in all a good selection. C cannot imagine eating biscuits called Digestives though. Tea dunking goodness.

Eamonn's, also in Old Town Alexandria - Great fish & chips, and they also sell Taytos, and British chocolate bars

I assume you already know World Market, a great source for British food and drink : )

It's 2 mins walk from Clarendon metro (go east from the top of the metro escalator) and cross to the other side.

All my goodies are eaten, I might need another run. Thanks for the links, will check them out.
