Today finally after many months we received notice that our interview date is December 15, at 8:15 am!! We are so excited!! But a little nervous on the same token. I do have a quick question for the ones that have been through the process. Do my husband and I have to go together to the interview, or is it just him that needs to go?? If anyone can help answer this question I would appreciate it!

My husband and I just had our interview last week - and were approved :D When you receive your actual paper appointment notice in the mail, it will state that if your eligibility is based on your marriage, your husband or wife must come with you to the interview.

Good Luck!

I honestly don't understand because on the letter we received it says that only the Applicant is to go to the interview. under preference category is CR1- Conditional Spouse of U.S. Citizen.

I apologize - I did not realize that you were a CR-1 (I only saw "other" on your sidebar and had answered your question from a home page posting without seeing the forum you had posted in). My case was for AOS based on a K1 and our interview notice stated that my husband was to attend.

Perhaps someone with CR-1 experience can better answer your question. Again, best of luck.

Based on your information, the interview you just had was an adjustment of status interview at a USCIS office here in the States (correct me if I'm wrong). The OP's husband is going to a visa interview at a Consulate; if I am correct about the interview you just attended, then your experience is not germane to what the OP is asking about.

OP: Some Embassies/Consulates will allow the petitioner into the interview area, however, most don't. You need a Juarez specific answer to your question.
