In the process of filing for the K1 we always listed the children of my fiancee. Because it tells you to list them even if they are not coming with you.

We listed that the children would not be coming with him on the consulate forms we checked the will not accompany and will not follow boxes etc...

So why would they list them on the appointment letter? Should we be concerned that they are considering the children. We have their birth certificates and

all of that. However we do not have passports for them as they will not be traveling to the US. Is this typical where they just want to know the details and leave it

at that or are they actually considering them as immigrants?

don't worry... the children do not come to the interview unless they want a K-2, you simply do not submit a visa application for them

YMMV

The exact same thing happened to us. No clue why they were listed on the letter, but we ignored it and the children were not mentioned at the interview.
