i did my sputum collection last sept. 21,22,23 and went back at SLEC on monday sept. 24 for my evaluation. in evaluation the doctor told me that my smear was all negative and wait for 2 mons for the result of my sputum cuture, the nurse outside the cubicle told me that i will call in SLEC on nov.18 since there will be result on this day, I will look for the person that the nurse said and give my PDS. no.(if I'am not mistaken) so that they will easily look for my result. today is nov. 14 and I'am nervous for the outcome.

IS IT TRUE THAT WHEN YOU RECEIVED A PHONE CALL EARLIER ON THE DATE THAT THEY SCHEDULED, IS IT POSITIVE??

please someone help me. because my mom, dad and brother are all done and already received their visa's and im the one whom their waiting due to my sputum culture.

please answer my question thank you.

If you wanted the correct answer, I suggest you to find the sub forum for your visa. Based on your visa category, you are filing F-3 Visa. This is a sub forum for K-1 Visa.

You mean a sputum culture is K-1 specific? And even if it is you could not take just one moment to try and reassure the OP?

Personally, I hope her test result comes back negative and she is reunited with her loved one very soon. Good luck!

what do you think on this one?, cause I know even though it is in diff. categories it is the same procedure on the result in sputum culture.

IS IT TRUE ABOUT THE PHONE CALL COMING FROM SLEC earlier on the given sched, the result is positive??

Honestly, I have no answer. I'm filing I-129F for K-1 Visa. That's why I'm here. I'm trying to help you to find the correct answer because I don't have any yet. You can wait another poster giving you insight about that because some do it especially in Phillippines. They might be read your post and try to give you the best answer. Good luck.good.gif

Yes, you will reschedule your interview. St. Lukes used to be the one who rescheduled interviews, but they seem to have changed their policy this year. Now you must reschedule your own interview.

Good luck with your culture results! :star:

Yeah! I think it's better to do it online so you can see the available dates.

Is it true that when a family applies for a visa, one of em sometimes gets held up for sputum culture as a delaying tactic? Lol Coz I saw a lot of cases like this.

I very much doubt it. Why would they care about when you get your visa?

I read somewhere that his family is migrating to the US then all of them passed the medical except for his dad so they had to wait for his culture. Then it also happened to another family, this time a son. Then to a fiancee with K1/K2 applications, the son passed it but the mom did not. And now to the OP. Some people think it's a delaying tactic of SLEC.

I must be losing my mind LOL oh well.
