Timeline

hi every one

how long the nvc take to close a case number and assigned an interview date, now it's more than 2 weeks since we sent our package and no response from them, I am so confused

thks

It takes 1-2 weeks to get a case closed after they get your packages.

But, How did you send the packages?

Did you send the overnight?

Did you send them priority?

Did you send them just regular mail?

If you sent them regular mail add another week or so to the case complete. So, 3 weeks total.

If you get an RFE on the packages then it will be up to 1 month longer.

Call NVC and ask them if they have received both packages AND have they reviewed them AND if there are any problems with them. Then ask is my case complete at NVC? They need specific questions and they will answer. Some do not give up information unless asked the right questions.

Do not forget to edit your timeline so others can learn from your journey!

Take care and good luck at the interview.

Once NVC receives your packages. it takes about a week or two for them to be reviewed. If no RFEs, then the case is closed.

And please fill in your timeline. I see you're posting in the MENA forum, and if you're from Egypt, you're going to be waiting 6 months for an interview date, as that's the average right now.
