Hello VJ...does anybody know if there are any inexpensive hotels that are very close to the US embassy on Victoria Island, Lagos Nigeria?

most of the hotels on victoria island are very expensive, it all depends on ur budget though

well really dont know about ikoyi......... but the last time i was i lagos i stayed in a hotel in lekki, was in d range of 10k-20k

Yes my husband had his own vehicle...but :wow: really...to stay in his truck all night???!!!!! You cannot be serious!!! My husband and I are very serious about his interview and no matter how lively the island is...he will not be sleeping in his truck rather he will be in a bed, getting some sleep so that he will be well rested for the big day. Thanks, but no thanks

I have been referred to three places:

1. Biscourt Apartments, Lekki (I guess they do short term accommodations).

2. Royal Tropicana Hotel (This one is a little expensive N15, 750 for a standard room BUT it's in VI.

3. Lekki Astoria Hotel. (This one is 20 mins from VI). For a Mini Standard room it’s N10, 500

Anyways my dear I will continue to inquire and let you know what I find. Remember not to book anything online instead make sure your husband will go to any hotels you direct him to first to make inquiries.

We stayed at the Biscourt. They have a few rooms for 11k, but call in advncance to book as they stay busy. It is just about 10 minutes from the Embassy.

There is one hotel in obalende,Ritz hotel along king George V Road. It is just 15minutes walk or trek to the embassy. The best room cost 7,500 naria. You can still see a room for 4,000 and 4,500 naria, but be prepared for mosquitoes because there is no net on the windows, lol. Generator will be cut off at 2am. The is one we are using now since my wife cant afford to discuss with mosquitoes all night,the motel is called international motel at ojota very close to ojota main park. 24hrs power supply with full air conditioning, the rooms are very large. The price is 5,500 for the least room. This is their telephone number:017408469. What we do is take a taxi from the hotel to the embassy at the cost of 1,500 naria.

My Opion was kinda of a JOKE.wasnt too serious abt it.Hope u find a suitable and affordable Lodge.

Staying with a relative is kinda of best,except if yah dont want them to no ur date
