No, the emanicaption proclamation is about freeing the slaves, and has nothing to do with the British. Emancipation proclamation is one of the answers to"What was Lincoln famous for?".

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

I-751 timeline:

08/07/2009- Mailed I-751 removal of condition(CSC)

08/18/2009- check cashed

09/11/2009- biometrics done

12/08/2009- card production ordered

12/14/2009- 10yrs gc received

US Citizenship (N-400) timeline:

09/16/2011- Mailed N-400 package (AZ)

09/19/2011- USCIS received application

10/18/2011- Biometrics done

01/09/2012- interview test passed

01/09/2012- Oath taking same day done
