Hi all, hope you can help me out with this one, or if you have any experience to share.

My mom has a few of the vacuum storage bags and she suggested that I could pack my clothes in there and then put it in my suitcases - they are very effective and it looks like I can get some extra room in the suitcase.

I was wondering, if it's okay to pack like that? will it be a problem? has anyone packed with these and travelled with them before? and has it ever happened that one of the bags lost air and it all popped out again :blink:

Timeline:

January 27 2006: submitted and approved I-130 in Copenhagen, Denmark

March 23 2006: Interview, submitted I-601 waiver

May 2 2006: London recieves waiver

August 21 2006: waiver approved woo hoo

October 3 2006: arrived in the US

Be aware the the TSA tends to inspect bags and if they open those vacuum bags they may have a problem re-closing your suitcase, also you may get charged extra for heavy baggage.

I'm not sure about heavy baggage but if the TSA has to open those vacuum sealed bags how will you re-shrink them?

Sept 10 I-129F sent to TSC

2006

Interview - February 13th APPROVED! day 152

April 6 - wedding date day 204

Aug 22 - AOS interview date day 101-total days 342

Sept 29 - green card arrives, done until June 2008 day 140-total days 381

2008

June 30 - I-751 mailed total days 1025

2009

March 9 - Removal of Conditions approved! total days 1277
