Question about packing/travel

Hi all, hope you can help me out with this one, or if you have any experience to share.

My mom has a few of the vacuum storage bags and she suggested that I could pack my clothes in there and then put it in my suitcases - they are very effective and it looks like I can get some extra room in the suitcase.

I was wondering, if it's okay to pack like that? will it be a problem? has anyone packed with these and travelled with them before? and has it ever happened that one of the bags lost air and it all popped out again

Thanks :)

Be aware the the TSA tends to inspect bags and if they open those vacuum bags they may have a problem re-closing your suitcase, also you may get charged extra for heavy baggage.

I'm not sure about heavy baggage but if the TSA has to open those vacuum sealed bags how will you re-shrink them?
