Hello,

Are infopass appointment made at the same office where biometrics are taken?

I got another question, read different opinions here:)

does AP/EAD processing depend on biometrics?

Thank you for your help!

Once you have BIO done you should receive your EAD/AP card a few weeks later. The pic they take of you there in one your EAD card and GC

Biometrics does not necessarily take place at the same location as the interview.

EAD is dependent on biometrics; AP is not dependent on biometrics.

Sorry, meant to say not necessarily at the same place as Infopass.

You can make your infopass appointment online. I am not sure about every city but here at Phoenix they are at a different office than Biometrics. This is because biometrics are taken at a support center and infopass appointment are given at the office where interviews take place.

Thank you all for your replies!

so if AP does not necessarily depend on biometrics...does it mean I can get it before?

but I heard there s a combo card EAD/AP..so can t get AP without EAD..and EAD without biometrics, right?

while both EAD and AP are processed in Missouri, biometrics appointment are managed at local offices..so does that mean if local office is behind, NBC can do nothing?

trying to understand what I should do since it s been over 30 days and no biometrics...and getting stressed for AP..I called USCIS and they said it s usually 30-60 days to get

appointment..

You can get AP before biometrics - we did - but I don't know about with the new combo card, honestly, as we did ours before that.

Yes, if your local office is backed up, your biometrics appointment will be delayed. Generally, it evens out in the end (normally taking between 2-3 months for your EAD), as if your office is moving quickly and you get biometrics done immediately, it'll probably still take another month or so until your EAD is approved. On the other hand if your office is behind and you wait a long time for your biometrics, everything else may be taken care of and you might get your EAD approval the same day as biometrics. This was the case with us - we waited 2 months for a biometrics letter, 2.5 months for an appointment, but the EAD was approved the same day and so we got it around the same time as people who had filed at the same time but done biometrics a month before.
