You always have to give it time to review new documents after interview.. it can take 2-6 weeks and depending on the docs even more time... just email them and make an inquiry... sometimes the 221g does mean AP but it happens more with ppl from MENA countries...

Hopefully they will get the review done quickly and you will hear soon!

Hi, I was under 221g too ( lacking of ITR and W2). I mailed all documents needed including my passport a day after my interview ( August 3,2011). Got my Visa August 19. I suggest you call the Embassy and ask them.

@southcalhog: i dont know why they didnt keep my passport at the embassy but on the 221g form that is the only thing they asked from me... they just asked for current proof that my fiance is getting his benefit from the Veterans affair.

@EAbbas: what MENA countries?

@jennydgreat: WOW! yours was fast... congrats!

thanx for the info... wanted to call/email them but when i checked US embassy manila's website i found this:

"If you were refused under Section 221(g) the Immigrant and Nationality Act (INA) and had submitted the required documents via the 2GO commercial courier, you are kindly requested to wait to hear from the U.S. Embassy about the status of the visa application."

that's the only thing stopping me from making follow ups... what do u think?

I'm under AR/AP also for cenomar re-verification. Currently, we're on our 4th week of waiting... They should have my cenomar re-ver this week after I received a dispatch notification last week. Will be calling tomorrow and ask if they received it already. Then after they received my doc? I was advised to wait for 3-4 weeks for the review as they have hundreds of pending cases every week..

It's a dispatch notification from e-census telling me that my Cenomar re-verification is ready for pick up by USEM Manila. As of today, I received an email from IVPU that my additional docs will be forwarded to the consular officer. I hope the review won't really take 2-3 weeks though... I advise you to call the 301 2000 ext 5184/5185 and follow up your case...

As per the USEM advise, there's a time frame of 2-3 after they received the additional docs before they make a decision wether you'll be issued a visa or not. And as per VJ people who been through the same issue, we should hear within 2 weeks after the submission of addtnl docs to USEM. I suggest you call the embassy and inquire about your case status.

I mean 2-3 weeks as per USEM advise, but according to VJ people who had the same issue like ours, we should hear something from the USEM within 2 weeks after they receive the 221g response.

What's wrong with my English vocabulary these days? Lol
