Still in AR over 9 weeks now...no light at the end of the tunnel. I hired a lawyer and he sent forms and letter...I let 10 days pass...and the Embassy claims they never received it. It really sucks that there is no accountability and that people can control people like that.

They kept passport...cenomar, birth certificate originals.

Just wanted to throw my $.02 here also. I'm dealing with the ridiculous US embassy in Manila also. Fiancee had her interview on Oct 16th and the CO told her that she had passed her interview. They took her passport and everything else needed. She had a copy of her birth cert but they wanted an original so she went the same day to NSO and had it sent. Original was received on Oct 21st. Upon hearing that we were "approved" I got tickets for me to go to spend a week with her and her family for a week and for her to come back with me on Dec 13th. The hope of her coming back with me pretty much over with now.

I've called and called, sent emails, contacted my congressman for any bit of info why it's taking 6-7 weeks for someone to look at her birth cert and approve us. I just get the typical "Just wait. We'll get to it when we get to it" email replies. It's so frustrating....so we just have to sit here with our lives on hold, missing out on the holidays until they feel like getting it. Happy holidays :(

Thank you for that...very nice of you .

We almost 11 weeks waiting now...they finally acknowledge my lawyer and ask for a form.

Its so long a process. We originally filed on Feb 14 2011. Everybody said it takes 4-6 months. Its been 10 months so far and still no completion.

Congratualtions to you who got their visa.

hi everyone, i was interviwed for my k1/k2 application kasama ang anak ko last May 29, 2012 but after the interview may hinihingi pang additional document ang embassy. in a week marerecieved ko na ang mga papers from my fiancee and i will go right away sa 2GO courier para sila namn daw ang direct na magdeliver sa embassy. They kept our papers and passports, except sa 2x2 pictures and sa DS 230 forms ko ang ng sa anak ko. ang DS 230 forms ang alam ko po isisign namin sa harap nd consul. ang mga question ko po, 1.) pwde ko bang iinclude and pictures kasama sa mga documents na hinihingi lamang ng embassy? 2.)Ilan araw bago ako makareceived ng notice sa kanila (by phone ba or email or letter via mail) at lastly yun DS 230 form na nasa akin pa at hindi nila hiningi during the interview. 3.) Sa tingin nyo po ba, pababalikin kami sa embassy para sa DS-230 signature namin ng anak ko sa harap ng consul. Thanks
