I am pretty sure I saw a post today about an interview experience in India. I can't find that post now for no reason. There is a question being ask by the officer on how to proof you're engage?

Is it necessary to proof it? I mean do I need to buy her a engagement ring or something first? We have both signed the letter of intent with the I-129f application. Can anybody gave me some advice?

You need proof of meeting in past 2 years...boarding passes, passport stamps, hotel and ATM transactions etc....some photos for secondary proof. The engagement ring is nice but not necessary.

I see, so how about the waiting time between NOA1 to the interview? We're now thinking if we should meet personally again before she interview. Our last picture taken was in Apr and that picture is attach with the original application. I am just tight up with my work now and can't barely squeeze some time flight back to Taiwan meet her.

So far, what I have is the phone record from Verizon and I bought her a Tiffany with my credit card as a gift. I don't know if this is enough.... Both of our parents are in Taiwan and they go out to dinner very often. I don't know if having picture of her with my parent will proof anything.

I was wondering about proof of engagement. But maybe would apply for different embassies to put up the custom locally for interview. Like in Vietnam (read from JimVaPhuong post) they have to do engagement party because the country has high fraudulant visa and it shows the intent to marry, but another country like Canada, or UK, they do not need it or they were never asked it during interview . We need some VJ members thought over this.
