My husband is from Pakistan and living in the UK. We did everything right and he underwent the interview on Oct 14....At the end they gave him a piece of blue paper saying that additional processing time is needed. It says H/IV/IV30SVA2007(UK59) on the paper. We've been married for an year now! What should I do to end this delay?

Thank you for any advice.

There is nothing much you can do to end the delay...your case is in AP.

You're in a holding pattern now.

"The Marines I have seen around the world have the cleanest bodies, the filthiest minds, the highest morale, and the lowest morals of any group of animals I have ever seen. Thank God for the United States Marine Corps!" - Eleanor Roosevelt, First Lady of the United States, 1945.

Hang in there... sometimes the AP doesnt last more than a couple of weeks or like us its 4 months and then there are those who have been in ap for 10 months and finally got ap complete... it happens its pakistan nothing more you can do other than keep track of when you called dos who you spoke with and what they said.

Best of luck!

Hi... Newbie,

I am from Bangladesh and living in London since last 7 years. My wife is from Bangladesh and now US citizen. I had CR1 visa interview in London US Embassy on the oct 13, 2011 (Just one day before your husband's one) and at the end of the inetrview they gave me the same blue paper (H/iv/IV30SVA2007(UK59)) saying that additional processing time is needed. Like you we also have married one year ago in 2010 in Dhaka.

After web search I found a link where may check the cases but I am not sure whether it is the rigt one? You can have a look.

http://london.usembassy.gov/administrative_processing.html

Although one week gone but I can't see our case number in there...

Like you, we are also diying to meet with each other and not understanding what should we do now?

Please let me know your any updates and activities at asif1997@yahoo.com

after receive mail from you I will also do the same...

Thanks

Asif
