Hello everyone. I just joined the VJ community coz I really need your help and expertise.

September 22 - Morning, hubby sent the AOS and IV packets thru USPS priority mail. Evening of the same day, we started receiving checklist cover letter for our case. NVC received both of our packets September 26 @ 10:58 AM. We disregarded the 1st (sept 22)and 2nd (sept 26) checklist cover letters since they're all stating the same thing, that the NVC needs our AOS and IV documents ( I have read in the past that they're the so called false RFEs). When we received the 3rd checklist cover letter (sept 30, still asking for the AOS and IV documents), hubby and I we're alarmed coz we've expected that by that time, NVC already had our packets and must have started reviewing them. I asked hubby to call NVC and the operator told him that they MIGHT have the packets, its either under review or was not yet opened and attended to. :(

Today, hubby and I received our 4th checklist cover letter. I thought the gist of the RFE will just be the same, but I was wrong. It stated that the line 25 in my hubby's I-864 form DOES NOT CORRESPOND to the tax returns and w2s submitted. I just wanted to clarify that hubby had two w2s for year 2010. He had two employers that year (but not at the same time). The sum of the two w2s is equal to the amount stated in his tax return (2010), which in turn the amount he wrote on line 25 in his I-864. Both w2s we're passed as proofs. What could have gone wrong? The checklist's asking us to pass another completed and CORRECTED form. How would we able to correct that when there's nothing WRONG in the form in the first place? Could this mean that they didn't get that they should add the total of the two w2s?

The 4th checklist is also asking for our IV packet (which they already received last week). They also stated that since my hubby does not meet the minimum requirement needed to support me, the intending immigrant, we should put into mind that we can have a joint sponsor, which we already have (the joint sponsor's documents we're submitted and included my hubby's AOS packet). Does this mean that they haven't checked our joint sponsor's documents? What should we do? </3

A quick call to the NVC can clarify the I-864 (AOS) Issues. The other notices sound like what's commonly referred to as "False RFE" where they are expecting to receive the DS-230 so they send a "Check list" for it.

Thank you for your quick response :)

Hubby called NVC earlier today and spoke with an operator (we wanna talk to a supervisor, but no one's available). Hubby discussed the matter to him and it seems the operator understood what we're trying to say. He said that it was "their fault" and he will ask his supervisor to review our case. Hubby asked if we still have to pass another I-864 form just like what the checklist was asking. The operator told him NOT to and JUST wait, that's all.

So, we gonna WAIT? I'm just concerned that we'll be wasting time waiting and the matter not being dealt and addressed to :(

Well, if a supervisor is reviewing your case, then I would think that the matter IS being dealt with and addressed. I would wait to see what the supervisor says, and then go from there.

I guess all we can do is wait for another 10-15business days. We're just hoping that we'd be able to complete our case by next week (2nd week of october) so that my interview will be scheduled in november. I'm getting a lil impatient and frustrated coz of the long processing and waiting time :( but yeah, i know it'll be all worth it in the end (L) Thank you! :)
