Wow! I am overwhelmed by all your wishes for good luck. I didn't know anyone noticed!

Here's the news...and it could be BIG news for anyone going thru Casa...we'll see what develops.

Here's what is happening. He showed up for his interview and the guard told him the lady (yes, that one) who was supposed to do his interview "left" two days ago. Aziz's conversation with the guard led him to believe she just walked out. Senator Patty Murray's office, two days ago sent an urgent request for confirmation of the appointment and we had also sent two urgent emails.

They told him his appointment was cancelled and just wait for them to call him. After travelling all night by stinkin' bus and having to hotel it in Casa. We are both hoppin' mad!!!! Mary Pedderson (sp?) from Patty Murray's office told me this morning they would send a fax and another urgent email to Mr. Snyder (the guy in charge) to see if they would see him tomorrow. After that, he's going back to Nador.

I am really upset, but on the other hand, hope that is the end of this lady in the Consulate. She gave a lot of people real problems. Her first interview with Aziz was really rude and demeaning.

I hope I have some good news soon.

Zizi & Zuki: Have you also tried contacting the consulate directly...yourself to speak to anyone else but the guards outside? I would definitely try to get to an American on the phone...ASAP.

I know this consulate can be extrmemely difficult, not just this woman CO, the security people as well can and do throw a monkey wrench your way if they are given an opportunity. It happens quite often.

I really hope this gets sorted out quickly and you hear something about the appointment. I wish you much luck.

Wow. This consulate never ceases to amaze me.

Best of luck in getting to speak to someone who KNOWS something tomorrow -- hate to see your fiance forced to make yet another trip back when it was *their* mistake.

Waiting to hear more about this woman being OUT for good... that would indeed be good news to many going through Casa.

Thanks for the update -- hope you have more good news tomorrow !

Sorry to hear about the inconvenience, but I know of a person that had something similar happen. It was their mistake. They called him the next day and told him to come and get the visa the next monday, forget the interview.

Of course, this was a second interview, so I am assuming that is why they didn't push it. One way or the other, best of luck and keep us informed.
