Fellow VJers, i am back again for another question. Please help! Thanks a lot in advance. ( I'm a K1 filer)

DS 156 Question 32: Do you intend to work in the US? If YES, give the NAME AND COMPLETE ADD OF US EMPLOYER.

I am a Registered Nurse (NICU) and have a license to practice in Ca and NC. And of course, if i'd be given a K1 visa, i will work and help my future hubby with the expenses. And since i don't have an employer yet, how do i answer this?

Question 33: Do you intend to study in the US? If YES, give the NAME AND COMPLETE ADD OF THE SCHOOL.

I have few MSN units and would like to continue in the US after i have settled in. But i have not enrolled in any school yet although i have one particular university in mind. so, what's the right answer to this?

If i answer NO to both questions then that's lying and i have no intention of doing such or giving misleading info.

PLEASE... HELP ME! Thank you!

i put yes when i am legally authorized to work

then i left the school etc blank

2013-08-12 (Day 1 ) - Sent my Aos package for work permit and green Card

2013-08-20 (DAY 8) Noa1 received via Text around 11pm, next day was email. Received my case numbers

2013-08-23 (Day 11)- received hard copy in mail for Noa1 gc , Work permit

2013-08-30 (Day 18) Received Biometrics appointment letter in the mail.

2013-09-17 (Day 25) biometrics appointment day @2pm Detriot

2013-09-25 (Day 33) received text and email , I485 changed to testing and interview

2013-10-02 (Day 40) received text message and email @7am about my interview date

2013-10-04 (Day 42) Received hard copy interview letter in the mail

2013-10-10 (Day 48) Work permit Card in production

2013-10-16 (Day 54) 2nd Text and email @830am Work permit in Production

2013-10-21 (Day 59) text/email notice 10am . Work Permit sent

2013-10-21(Day 59)Text/ email @9pm received text with tracking number -2 day delievery

2013-10-24(Day 62) received my work permit in the mail.

2013-10-25 Filled for my Social Security number today

2013-11-05 (Day 74) Interview November 5th (1.40pm)...... APPROVED!! kicking.gif

2013-11-05(Day 74) Text and Email - Green card in Production @2.30pm

2013-11-05 (Day 74) Text and email @8.15pm Mailed notice that i am a registered permanent resident

2013-11-07 (Day 76) 2nd Text and email @11.30am - green card in production

2013-11-09 (Day 78) Welcome letter received - WELCOME TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!

2013-11-12 (Day 81) - Received text and email - Green card sent @1.15pm

2013-11-12 (Day 81) @9pm received text and email - with UPS tracking number - For Green card

2013-11-15 (Day 84) Green card Received dancin5hr.gif

32 yes with work authorization. And 33 yes school unknown at this time

08/01/12-Married08/17/12-Applied for Social Security Card09/23/12-Husband received his Social Security card!09/27/12-Filed AOS09/28/12-AOS package received10/01/12-Text message from USCIS10/03/12-Check cashed10/09/12-NOA1 for I485,I765,I131 AND Biometrics Appointment Letter10/24/12-Biometrics Appointment12/11/12-EAD and AP Approved-75 days12/14/12-EAD/AP Card Production ordered12/21/12-EAD/AP Card came in the mail06/22/13-Green Card Approved06/27/13-Greed Card Production Ordered06/29/13-Green Card came in the mail<p>

04/09/15-Mailed ROC

04/10/2015-Package received

04/14/2015-Check cashed

06/02/2015-Called Service Center (still no NOA1) Service request found out wrong address on paperwork! :(

06/03/2015-Called to get address updated Ar11 online add change didnt work-got infopass for June 10th

06/10/2015-Went to info pass appt. Hubby got a 1yr. Extension stamp in his passport and biometrics done

08/12/2015-ROC Approved. Got letter in the mail.

08/29/2015-received new card in the mail.

if you answer NO it will be better cos non of these will happen yet (work and study) while you are going through all the process you need marriage, AOS , etc. you have to make sure everything is settled first before you jump to your second plan which is work and school.

cos in all honesty, you are applying for k1 FIANCEE VISA anyway not for work visa.. you are not going to lie to them if you say NO you are just highly prioritizing the k1 VISA first before these 2.

lesser questions interrogations and complications as well.. :) goodluck

if you answer NO it will be better cos non of these will happen yet (work and study) while you are going through all the process you need marriage, AOS , etc. you have to make sure everything is settled first before you jump to your second plan which is work and school. another thing is you do not have any exact employer yet right? so just leave it blank or no first nothing wrong with it... just deal with this future employment once you're already in the states, had your aos and eligibility to work or work permit.

you are applying for k1 FIANCEE VISA anyway not for work visa.. you are not going to lie to them if you say NO you are just highly prioritizing the purpose of k1 VISA before these 2.

ok. i think i need to call the attention of those Pinays who are already done with their embassy interview (and also have the intention to work/study). comments, please...

both questions start with "do you INTEND..." yes, sir/ma'am, i have all the intention...

I think you should always answer as accurately as possible... I agree with the response above. Yes (When legal to do so), and Unknown at this time. As far as education. Yes (at some point in the future), and Unknown at this time.

You could always put No,,, with an addendum that states,,, although you answered No on the DS 156... You do intend to work and study once

you have adjusted status and can obtain employment legally.

I think you're right. Coz honestly, i feel like saying NO to both is not-being-sincerely honest... and of course i will work and finish my master's degree once i'm legally allowed to. I have SSN already as i have worked and studied in FL before. so definitely i will do both in the future...

Hi! In my case, I have answered YES, then I qualified my statement "hopefully after marriage, applied AOS, got work permit, etc". Then for study, NO...because for now I don't have any intention to study just work. Just be honest and realistic. God bless !
