For some time I'll be bored since I cannot work. Am I allowed to bring my dog? I know vaccines and other vet report is needed but is there a fee involved?

No they dont need a k-1 visa to enter the USA. =)

Yes. My wife brought a dog and a cat. They have to have a current rabies vaccine to enter the US and a vet will check them at the POE. No big deal.

There are no immigration fees, but there may be fees from the airline you use. Check with them.

Just make sure that the documents are tranlasted to English.

We may not sound and speak like Americans but all documents here are in English.

You need a petition for your dog and get a K-9 visa. :)

Does my need a paw mark on his paper?

Will they let my St. Bernard ride under my seat? :) :)

I don't think he will fit under your seat. Maybe he can sit beside the pilot. :bonk:

My dog, Scooby, is sitting on my lap in the avatar picture. I think he would sit on my lap in the airplane, don't you? He does love to kiss however, and he would be trying to kiss everyone around him with his long tongue!

teapotgurl1983, I am a dog person, can you tell? I can understand how you would be very attached to your canine friend. We had 3 dogs and a Yellow Crown Amazon that is amazing. None of them belonged to us, but came from our grandkids. One went to college and couldn't take her dog. That dog is a German Pincher and loves us, and we love him. He sleeps with me every night in my bed. He is a sweetheart. We had a Shih Tzu, and he was a little lover, but he got too old and died of complications of liver failure mainly. We all cried, patted and love him as we were saying goodbye, and I still want to cry when I think about losing him. He was our 18 year old granddaughter's doggie. Then the big fellow, Scooby, was our 12 year old granddaughter's dog, but their family split up, and she was not allowed to take her dog or her bird, so we have both of them. I have to be really careful not to call him my dog in her presence because it really hurts her feelings. The last time she was here she told me that it is a partnership. Scooby is her dog and my dog, and that is okay. Scooby lives in our backyard, 50 feet by 30 feet, and he is happy as could be as he sits on our back porch and watches us through our sliding glass door. I walk with the 2 dogs for 6.5 miles every day, and they love it, and it is good for me too.

So I understand when you love your dog and want to bring him with you. I would be the same way. I love our 2 dogs and our bird, and they are a lot of enjoyment, and they love us as well. Not long ago we had no animals at all, and now I can't imagine how that would be.

So, I hope bringing your dog works out well for you, and I know your dog will love you for it as well.

Thank you..I love my dog..I just can't walk him in this area because my dog doesn't have a social skills. He has to be in the area wherein he's the only dog or dogs should have a leash. That's so nice of you. :star:
