You must have the NOA2.

This is needed for AOS.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Like Inky said... you need the NOA2 for AOS or Adjustment of Status (this is the next USCIS process after getting married within 90 days in the US).

That being said. You can do your medical with the NVC letter since St. Luke's need your MNL Case No., NOA 2 only states that you are approved.

ALL k-1 are sent to NVC first.

NVC logs the case and sends a letter with the US EMBASSY case number.

NVC then forwards the case to the US embassy.

Most places require the NVC letter / US embassy case number to be able to take the medical.

The interview letter does not come until much later generally months later after sending P3 and waiting for P4 the interview letter.

Using the NVC letter is easier because you get that much sooner than the interview letter and you don't have to do anything to get it.

Exactly which is why I said most places require NVC letter.

Canada only needed to see the NVC letter or have the packet 3 letter showing the Case number on it.

Any idea on Phillipines (OP is from)? I remmebered to have seen a different procedure for them - not sure, will have to dig a little more in the regional threads.

@ all :

I just concerned about medical tho... i want to proceed right away with my medical even if i dont have the noa2...the USCIS said they will send the noa2 within 15-30 days and we can proceed to medical just showing the NVC letter with mnl case no.... so i guess it is ok to have my medical without noa2..noa2 is just for applying AOS right???

So probably i will have my noa2 copy perhaps on my interview...

DO u really think that i can have my medical just showing NVC letter w/ mnl case no without the noa2?
