scheduling interview by ourselves for immigrant visa?

I talked to the embassy about possibility to reschedule interview for immigrant visa. They responded that "As you may already know, the Embassy started a new appointment system http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ru. Applicant themselves have to schedule or re-schedule their appointments. "

I thought that the option is available only for non-immigrant visas. Did someone try to use the new system for immigrant visa? For how many months in advance the appointments are available?

I can't answer you question about how far in advance appointments are being scheduled. . But I have been following the interview scheduling process in Moscow. Here is a link to an earlier discussion. I hope the scheduling process has improved.

p.s. I think the K-1 is technically a non-immigrant visa because it requires a marriage within 90 days and AOS.
