So sorry about this. It does seem like they treat men worse than women. I really can't imagine what you could have done better. It does seem like them keeping your Fer's passport means he is approved. Keep us updated. Wish you both all the best.

I am sorry you are both going through this and having to wait so long. I think it is a good thing if they kept his passport and had him sign the delivery bill. Hopefully they will give the visa soon.

I have my own thoughts on what is taking so long but I could be wrong. I know in a different post from a while ago you said the beneficiary's passport and a tourist visa to the US was stolen. I think because he had the visa stolen they are giving more precautions and doing more background checks on him. I could be wrong, I hope he gets the visa soon and you both can then be together.

Hi!!! this exactly happened to me in my interview last april! the consul was nice asked me some questions!she said everything look good but her system wasn't showing my fingerprints so she couldn't make a decision in that moment but if all that I answered to her was truth she said she didn't think will be a problem and later that afternoon when she gets all the information she was going to approved my visa she kept my passport and gave me the blue paper! and she said to me I didn't have to stay in CDJ just pick the DHL where I wanted to receive my visa ( thing that we have to do before) so I left of course I was like you so worried I thought after the interview I was gonna be happy and ready to start planning the wedding! so since the day I got back to Mty I started call the info number almost every day and checking the website, in the line they said the same it could time months they really dont know anything everytime I called they gave me a different answer that is was in review, that had to wait! ! so even before the website showed something after 4 days I started going to the Dhl to ask lol, so in the end I check the website on day and it said i was on the way! I got the visa like 8/10days after my interview! you will get it just the your fiance keep checking the website and Dhl maybe after 5/6 days!

That is comforting, thanks.

We have been issued a DHL waybill number. However, when I call the Cust Service Center they continue to tell me my case is "OPEN" and no decision has been made. They said if it was approved it would show "APPROVED" so I am not sure what we are getting by DHL! :( Request for more info or AP notice or what? But we did not get a blue paper and the guy on the phone said he doesn't see anything about an AP notice either :( so we won't know until the DHL gets here, maybe Monday. Our hearts are in our stomachs until then. So anxious and on edge, just want this stress to be over!

I'm sorry I didn't read this sooner. But by now you know it was in Juarez, and yes 3 days after interview he received the DHL package with AP notice. All in all keeping his passport was a great sign, it may be a short AP wait or you may have been approved :D

I have the same in sept 2010.. he said "now i cant see your finger pr. but if your are being honest with me your visa should be ok" , i go and pay to DHL.. wait one day and the next day at 3 pm it was ready for pickup in Juarez

Remmeber now the new system its not doing great in Juarez , so that can be a reason why everything its going slow.. I dont want to be a  but if they keep the passport , its not meaning he its aproved.

They are a little more hard with man .. and usually they dont ask you more at the interview.. the decision its pretty much done when you send the first package..

My friend was there 4 days a go .. she have to wait LONG time for the last letter for the "new" way to get it.. It take me 6 months before for get my k1 , to my friend now take 10 months .. they said yes you got it so let see if they are going to send it..

I just saw once a guy from MExico that was denied.. BUT he have problems with the police, dont worry you wait already this time.. you just need to wait a little bit more

Keep calling anyways!!

Really dont worry!!
