Here I am sitting here and all of a sudden it hits me, I never put my FULL NAME on the money order, I did sign it.

This is what I did:

*Made the WESTERN UNION money order out to Department of Homeland Security

*Put that it was for I-129F

*Put my LOCAL college address (not the permanent one aka my parents address that was on all the forms)

*SIGNED it with my signature (same signature as the one on all the forms)

Now will I get an RFE, because I didnt spell out my full name on money order somewhere or does it not matter as long as I signed the money order?

FYI the money order was clipped to the first page of my I-129F.

My package was signed for on Friday, so if I get a NOA1 does that mean the MONEY ORDER was cashed and I won't receive an RFE?

Thanks :bonk:

If you receive the NOA, it will either say they accepted your package or they will be sending the package back to you. NOA or Notice of action has many purposes... I'd say just wait and see what happens since at this point it's too late to do anything..

But do you think it matters writing your FULL NAME on a money order, if you sign it with your signature?

THIS IS SO WEIRD!

At 1:37 AM ET I received a text from the USCIS it says:

"USCIS: Your application was received. Receipt EACxxxxxxxxxx. Official receipt Notice (Form I-797) to follow in mail.

Typed in the receipt number, it isn't in the system yet (wouldn't expect it to be so soon

So does that mean it has been accepted and the money order has been cashed? Or can I still get an RFE for the money order?

This is what it says on their site:

During the acceptance step USCIS reviews newly received applications and petitions to ensure that they are properly filed (i.e. signed by the applicant, appropriate fees, etc.) USCIS issues a receipt number for the application or petition, and sends a receipt notice to the applicant or petitioner.

Applications and petitions that are not properly filed are rejected with an explanation of why the application is rejected and the corrective action needed. Rejected applications or petitions do not retain their filing date.

Hopefully I am in the clearing
