Baffled about AOS payment online with GUZ case.

I finally got the case numbers and stuff, they emailed it all to my wife.

I got the invoice and AOS fee to pay online.

I paid and payment is still "in process" but the AOS system let me be able to immediately print out my document cover sheet after I made the payment on Saturday....

Am I supposed to wait till I get "complete" or payment accepted? before any cover sheet can be available to print out.

But on my menu, my "document bar code sheet" is already available to print out or send to my email address as well as same options for "payment receipt"

Is this something new that people can immediately get the cover sheet with payment still "in process"

Or it really is that I can get cover sheet now, but I should not send out the I-864 till "payment is complete"?

So is it safe for me to send off the I-864 now, or should I wait till payment status is complete for AOS?

When the payment portal shows "PAID" is when you can send the I-864 and relevant documents.

I am not doing electronic processing, I am just merely asking about how many wiki page sound like the cover letter actually just appears after payment is "complete" but I can see the page already ready to print out while my payment is still "in process"

I am doing it all by mail, but now NVC does send regular email notices for the mail version now with all the invoices and bills in PDF format, my case is GUZ not GZO

Just curious: why you didn't do EP?

You can/could still do the EP and tailor the interview date by controlling when the documents are sent. We were in a similar situation with planned holidays so we wanted to get the interview sometime late may or early june. I went ahead and paid the fees and we just held off on sending the I-864 and IV packages until the beginning of May. I think it's actually easier to control the timeline with EP than through snail mail, but either way should work out.

As for the cover letter, you can print it off after you have paid, but hold off sending anything until the website shows paid. Same for the IV bill. Go with the processing times showing for NVC for your visa type and back track to figure out when to send the packages to NVC.
