Confusion over Travel Document

Hi -- we're trying to get the AOS paperwork together, and are having some questions about the I-131 Travel Document (TD). Any help greatly appreciated !!

1) Is the TD needed for specific trips, or can it be to cover unknown travel dates?

Part 3 asks for date of departure and expected length of travel -- can both be "unknown" or does this need to be specified? We do have a possible departure date (from round-trip ticket from Fatima's arrival in May, which was cheaper that a one-way) but unsure about length of trip, or whether the departure date may be changed entirely.

2) Part 7 for Advanced Parole -- asks how may trips will this be used for. We checked 'more than one' originally, to cover other possible trips. Is that OK given that we're really not sure?

Also that part asks for a separate sheet of paper explaining how she "qualifies for an Advance Parole Document, and what circumstances warrant issuance of advance parole." Then it says 'see instructions' -- which when looking there it seems that filing with the AOS avert the need for this?

3) Anything else besides two photos that needs to be submitted with the I-131? (i.e. copy of K-1 or I-94?)

Thanks for any good info on this!

You seem to have a good understanding of the process :)

The AP is routinely issued for pending I-485s. You can put unknown, multiple entry, and you read the instructions very well :) you don't need a reason. Good luck!

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!
