I have spend soooo much money.... sending documents to the NVC.... I have sent 3 packages of things they want... you ask them questions on how to do something... you do it exactly how they ask.... and then they ask for more.... I was told... and have read over and over again that your documents have to be translated and stamped and signed by the translator if they are in a foreign language. NOW I have been told that I need them in the foreign language!!! So for all you people who have a foreign spouse... send a translated AND a copy in the language of the country you are from... especially if it's marriage or birth certificates!! And DON'T write your case # on them... just put the cover letter with them on a paper clip... I am so frustrated and sad... I wanted us to be together for our first wedding anniversary at the end of October...but unless a real miracle happens... I guess the first year of our marriage will be void because I left 10 days after we married. This is making me very very ill... if there is any weird stuff that any of you have had to go through... that is out of the ordinary... please write about it... so we will all be aware of how these people tick...this would put just about anyone on the mental ward!!

believe me I know how you feel. While I was in Serbia I had to send my birth certificate to prove me and my father (who is my household member) are related. So i had to get it translated from Croatian to Serbian and from Serbian to English which cost money and a lot of time. But in the end it pays off. Me and my husband didn't get to spend our one year together either but his interview is in 10 days and believe me its worth the waiting because the prize at the end is great.
