That would depend what the RFE was for.

I am not sure what is in RFE and why your are trying to avoid answering your RFE and are looking for alternatives.

If you apply for another visa is not going to simplify your case there is RFE against you and your passport number other details are in their system.

If you apply for another visa they can still see there was an open RFE which you have not responded.

If I would be in your situation I would not think of jumping around until one issue is resolved.

I applied for H1B because oct is last to apply for H1. More over i need to file RFE before 24th oct 2011 if RFE got rejected i may go out of status & i could not apply for H1,so i switched.

Is H1 approval related with L1B RFE?

What makes you think transfer from L1(in limbo coz of RFE) to H1 would be approved?

Do you think USCIS does not keep any record?
