I haven't been able to find this in any FAQs/etc but I'm assuming a K-1 would be required.

My fiancee is Canadian, I'm American. Because of family, we will likely prefer to call Canada home and if possible have the wedding there as well. That will take a fare while. Since we are engaged, will we now technically require a K-1 visa for her to enter the United States temporarily just to visit me? And would anyone know how this would effect other travel to the USA? e.g. if she has to visit somewhere else in the U.S. on business.

No, she can visit like normal, even though you are engaged. The fiance visa is for people who want to marry in the US and then apply to live here. If you have different plans (like marrying in Canada) then the K-1 visa isn't for you anyway (on the K-1 you MUST marry in the US). She can continue visiting and after you get married in Canada you can file for the CR-1 spousal visa if she wants to move here. Good luck!

K-1 is NOT a visit visa.

Canadians DO NOT use visas or VWP to enter to the USA as visitors.

She will need to bring ties to Canada to visit the USA.

If you are not immigrating and not marrying int he USA a k-1 is beyond ridiculous as it costs an obscene amount of money.

Be sure what you want to do before you start a K1 Visa. If you want to get married first, you cannot get married once you have started the K1 visa process - you would have to start over again.

research the purpose of the K1, the K3 before you start a K1. And yes you can keep visiting.

Good luck!
