I just wanted peoples opinions or experiences. I was just wondering with the Nigerian visa process, anyone that went back to Nigeria for their fiances visa interview....and did their presence there help with the visa interviewer decision in approving the visa. I am basically wondering if my presence in Nigeria at that time will presuade the interviewer that the love is true and honest...and our intent is genuine.....Sorry wasn't exactly sure how to word this and I hope....under all the wording, my point is made....smiles

First of all let me say "Good luck"! Your presence is helpful, but it is not what will determine the outcome of your fiance's interview. Most of the time, knowing that the USC is outside, indicates to the CO you are at least there for another trip to be with your loved one.

Do it, if it is not a huge financial burden, or if you can take the time off from work. Best of luck and God bless.

Hi souleymon ,my husband went for the spousal (CR-1) visa and was denied,no real reason given;we had all kinds of proof too.It was a complete shock. They asked my husband about our racial and age differences which btw,is only 6 years:(

God's time is the best however,we will keep persevering. And thanks for the compliments!! :)

I did not go to my husband's interview and he was approved. It is not necessary to attend.

Although it is not required, I think most of the members here on the Nigerian portals would agree that being there is essential. No one knows what the mood of the CO is on that day? but having your fiance or spouse outside speaks for itself, regardless of the outcome of the interview.

WE all have to keep in mind that this s Lagos we are dealing with and being there physically is important but doesn't guarantee an approval.

Joyjoy, we are so happy for your approval regardless of your absence during the interview.
