NVC sign in fail but just got case #, nothing paid?

Hi All,

I finally got my case # (Hooray!!).

I called the NVC, got my case #, IIN and beneficiary identification.

When I go to the portal to login, it states login failed?

Not sure what's going on. I just sent my opt in email for electronic processing as well.

Help!

05-11-2011 - NOA1
08-04-2011 - NOA2 - Approved
08-09-2011 - NOA2 Hardcopy Received
09-09-2011 - NVC Case # Received (35 day wait)
09-13-2011 - Completed DS-261 Online for Choice of Agent
09-16-2011 - AOS Invoice shows as "PAID" online
09-16-2011 - Conf Email for OPTIN of Electronic Processing
09-21-2011 - Emailed I-864/AOS Package to NVC Electronic
09-23-2011 - Paid/Received IV Bill

If you just get your case number you won't be able to log into the payment portal, or you can get in but there is no invoice to be paid yet. It took me a full three weeks for the invoice to be generated and I had to bug the NVC operator everyday to get it finally resolved. So call them to get the bills generated.

Thanks so much. I got my invoice identification ID but it won't allow me to login. I guess I'll start calling every day...

Was able to login now but shows "Not Invoiced"

No need to call them everyday yet.

It's normal to get sign in fail for a couple of days after getting your case number and IIN. We couldn't sign in for about 2 days after our case number was assigned. On the third day, we got our AOS bill by email and were able to log in to pay. This just means your case is probably not yet loaded into the payment system.

From what I've seen, Palladin's case was a very unfortunate anomaly.
