I am from the Philippines and my mother who is an American citizen filed an I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION for me. On July 21, 2011, the USCIS mailed me a notice that they have approved my I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN; stating to follow any instructions on the notice. On July 26, 2011, the USCIS shipped the approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. On August 4, 2011, the post office returned to the USCIS the notice they sent me for the case I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN as undeliverable. We called USCIS the time we received an email from them regarding the undeliverable notice. Last August 28, 2011 we received a confirmation letter from the USCIS regarding the new change of address that we provided them.

• After the letter of confirmation from the USCIS regarding my new address what’s next for me?

• Are they going to resend again the notice in my present new address?

• What is the time frame for that until I will receive the resent notice?

• What is it all about in the notice letter that the USCIS is sending?

• My case status was changed from Post-decision activity to Initial review after the notice sent by the USCIS not received due to undeliverable.

Please answer all my questions. Thank you.

How old are you, under 21 or over 21? Hopefully they will remail the copy of the approval letter to your new adress. the approved i13o will be sent. what happens depends on your age, if you are a child of a USC under 21 or over 21.

I am over 21.

then once the i130 is sent to NVC or National Visa Center, they will send your mother a letter with your case number. then the very loooong wait begins

For unmarried children over 21 of a USC from the Philippines, the wait is over 15 years.so you've got a long road ahead of you.

I got my case number long time already. I was already approved. What are you talking about? I was filed April 14, 1998. My case was approved last July 21, 2011. Are you sure you know what you are saying?

I'm sorry, but it seems you are not helping me out here. But anyway, thanks for the effort of giving wrong information.

Sorry to say but you gave the wrong iformation, you never said that the petition was filed in 1998

you mentioned it just as if it was sent this year.

it takes more than 15 years in total, and if your mom would have filed this year, it would take more than 15 years, since they are working with 1997.

so who gave the wrong information?

so the i130 took 12 years to be approved? if it has already been approved years ago, why would they send a second approval of the same thing?

check the visa bulletin every month.
