I've noticed that there have been about 10 approvals yesterday (and I guess today) and they've all been for people with first or second week of July NOA1s, with the exception of one.

I'm not complaining that they didn't have to wait long (I've only been waiting since June myself) but it seems odd that they're all from the same weeks when that doesn't seem to be where CSC is in terms of processing times...

What gives?

I don't know, but I wish mine were one of those cases.

My NOA1 was 7/18 and NOA2 9/18 and I don't have clue why i got it so fast. I've wondered if the "simpler" petitions go faster. I've suspected that divorces and such requires an extra pair of eyes or possibly different personnel/routing but I have nothing to back up my hunch. I can only say that mine was an "uncomplicated" petition.

Here are the details if it makes any sense. I have no idea if any of these have any affect, but here it is:

Used a lawyer for filing - she mailed the packet not me

IMBRA-complaint I-129F form

No divorces

No children

Ages 55 (mine) and 29 (hers)

No criminal record for either of us

Met on Cherry Blossoms Feb 4, 2006

My name is unique so name hits are impossible (I suspect hers is too)

Filed with TSC but forwarded to USC immediately

I made sure all the information was accurate (I delayed it 2 weeks correct some things)

All my forms were triple-checked by me, labeled in groups and arranged very neatly

I included a lot of stuff that my lawyer told me to but wasn't required until later

No RFE

The only touch was 10 days after receipt.

Oh, and our Statements of Intent were beautiful (they would make you cry, really)

Someone is still selling crack around the CSC office... They are all addicts. No one understands their behavior. And just when you think you have figured them out... BAM... They change up on you. Roll with the punches... I have started a rumor that VSV and CSC swapped some folks in order to get some of CSC's backlog out the door... LOL! Cheers!!!

I have another hunch that what has happened after the IMBRA fiasco is that they have been unable to keep the petitions in order for processing. They may have added (or transferred) a bunch of new people on at CSC and the petitions are being given to these new people in batches, the batches are out or order, and if there is anything "extra" like a divorce decree to be examined then a petition is passed to another, more experienced person to check the documents.

But, these are just hunches and I could be full of ####### (again).

I think a lot simply depends on the person that actually picks up your case. I believe that I also have an uncomplicated petition, here is my stuff:

Didn't use a lawyer for filing petition, (I'd rather save up the money for the wedding, plus it's not that difficult with VJ)

Used the new I-129F form (with IMBRA included)

No divorces

No children

Ages 24 (mine) and 23 (his)

No criminal record for either of us

But name hits, who knows (his name is quite common in Mexico :P )

I also quadruple checked everything, put everything together with ACCO fasteners, labelled with different color dividers on the bottom and even had a table of contents for the evidence submitted, very well organized

The only difference: I WAS ISSUED A RFE (but I haven't received it in the mail yet, I'm guessing it had something to do with my only submitting one attachment for my fiance's employment history (for the G-325A forms). I don't know what I was thinking since there are 4 forms. Luckily I'm ready and asked my fiance to sign several extra copies when I went to go visit him in Mexico a couple weeks ago. I'm hoping I receive the RFE soon.

Either way, all of those approvals do give me some hope.

I was noticing the July approvals also. Last week I was really thinking that CSC was really doing a great job for a change. They seemed to be approving people and actually doing it by NOA 1 date. I'm rather confused again now. I just wish they would go back to approving like they were last week.

Come on CSC keep the approvals coming and keep them coming in some kind of order that makes sense. I am happy for the people being approved from July I just want to see the rest of the March and April people approved.

I'm guessing they're trying to clear out their tables, or they put new people working on the incoming cases and the older adjudicators taking care of the older petitions.
