YuAndDan was right... I should create my own thread of questions rather than spam on the other one.

Here are a few to get us started:

Is there any way of knowing (short of calling up USCIS) whether your application was transferred?

Did anyone get a notice? Or did everyone just figure it out by googling or VJ?

Also, did the transfer indirectly cause all transferred applications to be "touched"?

Because the one and only touch I know of is prior to the transfer... should I be worried?

Thanks in advance!

Did you create an account on the USCIS website? If not, you need to do that and then call USCIS. I don't know why you haven't done that already.

The only way I know mine wa transfered to CSC was my check was cashed in calif.

I didn't get any notifications for 2 months. No emails or snail mail or website touches/notifications.

Then I got an email saying a doc they sent me was returned by the postal service and i needeed to call them and update my mailing address....which I did.

Then I never herd anything for a month.

Finally I called again and this time I got a nice lady who actually had access to me case. She said the mailing address had not been made. But she would do it right now. And she gave me my NOA1 date. So that was a great call for me.

Then I received a touch....and then I received a letter telling me they updated my email address.

So I think alot of it depends on which case worker is working on your case. Some of them might not give notices like the others. Maybe.... my opinion.

Bottom line.... patience! And after the 30 days, call them.

Good luck!

Mike

Funny that YuAnd Dan should say that because there are tonnes of threads, even in the past few days about touches and what they mean. Many cases got touched before the 'transfer wave'. Many cases NEVER get touched and then like magic, there appears an approval. No need to worry, per se.

Sorry, can't help you with the other part of your question, as I did not go through that particular part of the process myself.

I indicated that may want to post their question as a new post rather than as a reply to I_love_cuddlebug's post earlier. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...c=32827&hl=

I did answer question: "if anyone who filed at NSC get a notice about it being transferred to CSC?" on that post.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

We all got email notices and snail mail notices. And yes, they were touched after that. I'd perhaps get your congressperson/senator involved now.

You can tell from who cashes your check, where it is at. I went online to my bank and saw a copy of the check after it was cashed. On the back was where it was cashed and when it was cashed. My check was cashed and it didn't show as a "touch". I never received any "touches" and BOOM, it was approved 2 months later.

Rather than take any drastic measures, I decided to call them up. I asked whether my case was transferred (since I didn't receive a notice like devilette) and after a minute or two I was told that it was indeed in California.

About 2 hours ago, I received the following email. I've read it over many times. The first time I read it, I thought it meant that they requested more evidence, but by the third time I changed my mind.

Is it safe to assume that it just means they answered my question or plan to snail mail me a copy of the notice or something? Can anyone else help me rule out the "request for more info" idea? I'm at an all time confidence low at the moment...

Much appreciated. :)

Mawa
